“Gratitude”

I praise you dear Lord

For neighbors that are great

I just have to tell you

Before it’s to late

I thank you for these neighbors

Every moment of the day

I just have to ask you

Please, keep it that way

Each morning when I wake up

To welcome another day

I pray the Lord to bless us

And to guide us along the way

I thank him for the joy he brings

In everything I see

I thank him for the way I feel

And for Letting me be “ME”

I often ask the Lord

“What is it to be”?

He answers quite clearly

“Just trust in me”

That response is beautiful

And fills me with hope

My question may linger

But now I can cope

The thought of the future

That is soon to arrive

Fills me with Gratitude

That I am still alive
